In the aftermath of the GOLDEN GLOBES launching the 2024 awards season, THE CRITIC’S CHOICE AWARDS 2024 took center stage on January 14, unveiling the crème de la crème in 2023 film and TV.

The ceremony, presided over by the irrepressible CHELSEA HANDLER, saw triumphant performances by ROBERT DOWNEY Jr. in OPPENHEIMER, EMMA STONE in POOR THINGS, and the dynamic duo ALI WONG and STEVEN YEUN in BEEF. Succession’s KIERAN CULKIN and SARAH SNOOK also claimed well-deserved accolades.
Margot Robbie, America Ferrera, and Ryan Gosling starrer BARBIE led the film nominations with an impressive 18, clinching the Best Comedy title among others. However, the Critics Choice Association, a discerning amalgamation of critics from diverse media, bestowed OPPENHEIMER with the coveted Best Picture award, along with seven additional honors.

In the CRITIC’S CHOICE AWARDS 2023 ,The Movie Poor Things matched its prowess with 13 nominations, closely followed by Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon with a formidable 12.Turning the spotlight to television, The Morning Show emerged as the front-runner with six nominations, closely trailed by Succession with five.
Notable mentions went to Abbott Elementary and Loki, each securing four nods.The live spectacle of the Critics Choice Awards unfolded on the CW at 7 p.m. ET, an electrifying celebration of cinematic and small-screen brilliance.
