Ministry of Defence Inks Rs.588.68 Cr with TCIL for Digital Coast Guard Project

This contract with GOI strategic vision for Digital armed forces will contribute to the efforts to achieve Atmanirbharta in defence.

On 8 December 2023 ministry of defence(MoD) has inked a contract worth rupees 588.68 crore with Telecommunications consultant India Limited(TCIL), Ministry of Communications to acquire The digital Coast Guard(DCG) project under the Indian bay category.

Digital Coast Guard:

The Digital Coast Guard (DCG) project is an initiative of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). The project include the establishment of a disaster recovery data Centre modification of connectivity across ICD site and the development of the Enterprises resources planning ERP system third the project also uses the secure multiprotocol labels switching or veritably small aperture terminal connectivity. This mark the establishment of a tire 3 standard data Centre with latest technological capabilities.

This will enable the centralized monitoring and management of application stationed by the ICD and shows watchful oversite of critical Information Technology asset of the ICG.
